Airman dies at Grand Forks Air Force Base, cause of death under investigation
Grand Forks Air Force Base is investigating the death of an airman.
The body of Airman 1st Class Christian Clark, 24, was found Sept. 6 in his dorm room at the base, according to a news release. A member of the 319 Communications Squadron, Clark was an operations technician for the high-frequency global communications system. The Monroe, Ga., native had been at the base since June 2016, about six months after he joined the Air Force.
The news release did not state how he died or whether foul play was suspected. The cause of death is under investigation.
The base expressed its condolences to Clark's family and those who know him.
"It saddens our hearts that we lost one of our teammates," Lt. Col. Jonathan Guerrero said. "There is a great deal of emptiness left by Christian's passing due to the many lives he touched within our squadron."
