Toy drive receives more than 250 donations
GRAND FORKS - After months of gathering toys up and down the valley, the final count is in.
On Wednesday, volunteers picked up donations from locations around Grand Forks.
People in the area donated more than 250 toys set to go to CVIC and the Salvation Army.
The drive was started by Trista Curry after her sons died last spring in a car accident -- in order to pay tribute to their kind spirits.
“I mean I just want to thank everyone for the support. For going out and picking up toys and donating them. For everybody that helped the drop off locations,” said Trista Curry.
Organizers tell WDAY News donations by people in Fargo and Grand Forks combined reached about 1,000.
