NCAA West Regional hockey tickets now on sale

Tickets for the NCAA West Regional, which will be held in Sioux Falls, S.D., are now on sale at and in person at the host facility, the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls.

The tickets opened up at 10 a.m. Thursday.

If UND makes the 16-team NCAA tournament field, it will automatically be placed in Sioux Falls, because UND is the host of that regional.

UND is currently 10-4-4 and ranked No. 5 nationally. The Fighting Hawks have reached the NCAA tournament 15 years in a row -- the second-longest streak in college hockey history, only behind Michigan’s 22.

The games will be played March 23-24. The games won’t be set until the bracket is revealed on March 18.

Ticket packages -- which include two semifinal games and the regional final -- range in cost from $49 to $99.

Last year, Fargo’s Scheels Arena hosted the West Regional. All of the games were sold out.

The Denny Sanford Premier Center (10,678) seats more than double the amount of people as Fargo's Scheels Arena (5,000), though.
