The weather has been anything but nice for River Cities Speedway race fans this season.

Friday night's World of Outlaws Late Model Series event at RCS was wiped out due to rain. The track was hit by a heavy downfall just after 5 p.m., forcing WoO and RCS officials to cancel the show. The event will not be made up.

There have been 13 scheduled nights of racing this season at RCS. However, there have been only four completed shows.

Friday night's rainout marked the first time RCS has lost either the WoO LMS or the World of Outlaws sprint series to a night of bad weather.

The Friday night event also was the last night of the WoO LMS Wild West Tour, which began last week in Superior, Wis. Two of the six nights of racing on the Wild West Tour were lost to rain.

Next Friday, a regular night of racing is scheduled at RCS. School bus racing also is planned. And it also will be Hall of Fame night at the track.
