OGDEN, Utah -- The Big Sky Conference preseason polls weren't too kind to UND.
Apparently, UND didn't pay much attention to the league media and coaches' polls, which ranked North Dakota toward the bottom of the Big Sky.
UND remained undefeated in the Big Sky by beating Weber State 83-72 on Saturday. UND improved to 5-0 in the league and 10-4 overall. UND is the lone unbeaten in the Big Sky.
Sophomore Mia Loyd scored a career-high 27 points to go along with 12 rebounds to lead UND while senior Madi Buck added 22 points and 11 boards.
UND won for the 10th time in its last 12 games.

"We talked at halftime about finishing ball games and we responded," said UND coach Travis Brewster. "Weber State is much improved and credit them; they did a great job attacking us. I'm so proud of this group and how hard they work. We just have to continue to get better."
UND junior Emily Evers chipped in 10 rebounds and seven points off the bench for North Dakota, who won the rebounding battle 53-35.
UND will host Montana on Thursday night at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center.
