MANHATTAN, Kan. -- A game against a once-beaten Big 12 school wasn't what UND needed to end a four-game losing streak.

Kansas State rolled past UND 76-49 on Wednesday night before 2,696 fans at Bramlage Coliseum, a win that improved the Wildcats to 7-1. UND dropped its fifth straight and fell to 1-6.

"I know it's rough and it's tough but if you fall down and don't pick yourself up, that's the way you're going to be in life," UND coach Gene Roebuck said in a postgame radio interview. "Our players need to understand this is what it is."

UND is playing a demanding schedule.

After its Nov. 15 win against Vermont, the Sioux have played Colorado State, Gonzaga, Wisconsin-Green Bay, Drake and Kansas State.

Gonzaga was ranked nationally earlier this season; Wisconsin-Green Bay is ranked No. 23 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll; Drake is 5-2; and Kansas State's lone loss came at No. 18 Iowa.

Kansas State, which shot 53 percent from the field, was led by Taelor Karr's 16 points. Branshea Brown added 10 but they were the only two Wildcats in double figures.

The Sioux received another strong performance from 6-foot-4 freshman center Allyssa Wall, who finished with 12 points, nine rebounds and five blocked shots.

Senior Mallory Youngblut added 11 points, finishing 3-for-6 on 3-point attempts. No other Sioux players scored more than six points.

"I saw some bright spots," Roebuck added. "We worked hard; we didn't get down and we didn't have that defeatist attitude.

"We played really hard on the defensive end. They're a big, physical team."

The Wildcats outrebounded UND 39-28.

Kansas State's size was effective inside as the Wildcats scored 40 points in the point. Also, the Wildcats 34 points off of UND's 28 turnovers.
