BILLINGS, Mont. - For the second straight game, guard Kelsey Maffin was sidelined for the UND women's basketball team.
Sioux sophomore Danye Guinn has picked up the slack.
Guinn hit a late 3-pointer on Friday to spark UND past Metro State. On Saturday, Guinn scored 17 points to lead the Sioux to a 71-62 victory over Montana State-Billings in the championship game of the Yellowjacket Classic.
The Sioux improved to 5-0.
"Danye hit big shots all tournament," UND coach Gene Roebuck said in a radio interview.

UND's Kierah Kimbrough added 17 points on 8-of-14 shooting. Carissa Jahner chipped in 10 points and five rebounds for the Sioux.
UND built a quick lead in the second half. A pair of 3-pointers from Jahner and a basket down low from Ashley Langen stretched UND's advantage to 52-37.
The Sioux went on a 9-0 run midway through the second half to build their lead. Jossy Bergan ignited the run with a 3-pointer. Kimbrough, Langen and Guinn had baskets in the run.
Roebuck wasn't around to see the final eight-tenths of a second tick off the clock as he was ejected after receiving his second technical foul.
"That was the worst officiating I have seen in a long, long time," Roebuck said on the radio. "But our girls persevered."
Alira Carpenter led Montana-State Billings with 15 points. Michelle Lieber added 12 points for the Yellowjackets, who dropped to 1-1.
It was back and forth early in the first half.
