DORAN, Minn. - A 49-year-old woman was found dead from a gunshot wound Friday morning in her home here.
Authorities released few details on Friday. Wilkin County Chief Deputy Rick Fiedler said a 911 call was received at 8:44 a.m. Friday, and that the woman appeared to be dead from a gunshot.
Stephanie Holding Eagle, 26, of Wahpeton, N.D., said it was her mother - Lori Roberts - who was shot. But Fiedler would not confirm that.
Holding Eagle said the family in the area, which includes two other sisters and her aunt, believes that Roberts was murdered.
Fiedler said investigators haven't determined if the shooting was a homicide.
