A Grand Forks woman faces up to 20 years in prison if she's convicted on two methamphetamine charges.

Danielle Jean Grill, 26, had her first hearing Monday in Grand Forks District Court on two charges: possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, a Class A felony, and possession of meth paraphernalia, a Class C felony.

On Friday, Grand Forks Narcotics Task Force agents stopped a silver Grand Am in the Americas Best Value Inn parking lot in Grand Forks, and they noticed Grill trying to hide items underneath a seat, according to an affidavit of probable cause filed in court records by police.

The agents found a syringe and folded U.S. currency under the seat, in addition to three designer baggies containing meth and a scale, the affidavit states.

Grill faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and $20,000 fine for the Class A felony.
