A Grand Forks woman was arrested early Saturday morning for driving under the influence after allegedly hitting a street light and tree, police said.
Megan Ramsey, 30, was southbound in a 2002 Ford Explorer on the 4400 block of Cherry Street when she lost control of her vehicle, according to a news release. The Explorer left the road and struck a street light and tree on the west side of the street, police said in the release said.
Grand Forks police responded to the crash at about 2 a.m. Ramsey’s vehicle and the street light sustained significant damage, according to the release.
Ramsey declined medical attention, police said, after which she was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under suspension.
The Grand Forks Fire Department and Altru Ambulance assisted in the investigation.
