OTTAWA -- The Prime Minister's Office says the Queen and Prince Philip will visit five cities in June and July and be in Ottawa for Canada Day.

The nine-day visit, the Queen's 22nd official tour, begins in Halifax on June 28 and ends with a three-day stop July 3-6 in Toronto and Kitchener-Waterloo, Ont.

In between, the royal couple will spend June 30 to July 3 in Ottawa before flying for a brief stop in Winnipeg.

The Queen's last visit was in 2005, when she toured Saskatchewan and Alberta on the centennial of their entry into Confederation.

The itinerary for this tour is still being finalized.
