The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. today.

There will be strong southeasterly winds across all of eastern North Dakota and most of northwestern Minnesota. Vehicles on east-to-west oriented roadways should expect gusty winds which will cause difficult driving conditions the NWS said.

A wind advisory means that sustained winds of 30 mph or frequent gusts to 45 mph are expected. winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
