Four guys in a rock band who got their start playing in the Grand Forks area, currently living in Orange County, Calif., and trying to make it big in the music business. Starving For Gravity includes Lucas Holter, 25, lead vocals; Brett Lindenberg, 26, bass; Brad Kovar, 23, guitar; and Caleb Fritel, 21, drums. Holter, Lindenberg and Kovar are from Alvarado, Minn.; Fritel is from Hazen, N.D. Since moving to California the band has added a keyboardist, Richard Nash, 28, a native of Southern California.

n What they're doing this weekend: Playing a two-day event called Rock Against Diabetes at the ROX Club in Las Vegas, with Bumblefoot (guitarist Ron Thal of Guns N' Roses) and his All-Star band, and other musicians and entertainers. See www.rockagainstdiabetes.org/ .
