West Fargo police arrest 2 with almost 2 pounds of marijuana

WEST FARGO - Two people have been arrested after a traffic stop here for having almost 2 pounds of marijuana, pills and drug paraphernalia in their car.

WEST FARGO – Two people have been arrested after a traffic stop here for having almost 2 pounds of marijuana, pills and drug paraphernalia in their car.

West Fargo Police Sgt. Gary Bommersbach said that at about 8:10 Wednesday night, an officer with the department made a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 1700 block of East Main Avenue.

During the stop, officers discovered 27 ounces of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and two pills on the schedule II controlled substances list, along with $334.

Christopher Ness, 27, and Katie Fossen, 33, both of Fargo, were arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Ness is also being held for suspicion of possession of marijuana paraphernalia and possession of marijuana by a driver.

Fosse is also being held for possession of a controlled schedule II substance.
