The winds from this past weekend’s storms in the Red River Valley reached speeds as high as 59 mph, according to the National Weather Service, which released a ranking of strongest winds Tuesday.

The top five are as follows:

  •  59 mph at 1:32 p.m. Saturday at the Interstate 29 bridge four miles south of Buxton, N.D.
  •  51 mph at 3:07 p.m. Saturday at the Park Rapids, N.D., airport.
  •  51 mph at 3:01 p.m. Saturday at the Grand Forks airport.
  •  51 mph at 12:44 p.m. Saturday at the Fargo airport.
  •  50 mph at 3:50 p.m. Saturday three miles east-by-northeast of Gatzke, Minn.

High winds also blew Sunday and Monday, but none were as strong.
