The couple exchanged their vows, with their families present, in Syracuse, New York. Their parents are Kevin and Diane Baumbach of Emerado, ND and Suzanne Sarno and Joseph Sarno of Syracuse, New York.

Kirsten is a 1998 graduate of James Ville-DeWitt High School. Dusty is a Sgt in the U.S. Army stationed at Fort Drum, New York. Dusty is a 2003 Larimore High School graduate.
