Gas prices have risen faster in North Dakota during the past week than in the country overall, according to the gasoline price website NorthDakotaGasPrices.com.
Average retail gasoline prices in the state rose 5.9 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.86 a gallon Sunday, a website news release states. The national average increased 3.1 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.88.
Prices Sunday were 20.1 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 0.4 cents per gallon lower than a month ago, according to the release. The national average has increased 5.6 cents per gallon during the past month and is 25.3 cents per gallon higher than the same date one year ago.
