A tornado warning has been issued until 4:30 p.m. for central Walsh County.
At 3:44 p.m., Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado; it was about six miles south of Edinburg, or 25 miles west of Grafton, N.D., moving east at about 25 mph.
The tornadic storm will be near Park River around 4:05 p.m. ... Pisek around 4:10 p.m. ... Veseleyville around 4:25 p.m. ... and Nash around 4:30 p.m.
A tornado warning is issued when a tornadic storm has been detected on radar or has been visually identified.
The National Weather Service offers this advice:

_ If you are in the path of this tornado, abandon vehicles or mobile homes for a sturdy building or the closest substantial shelter to protect yourself from flying debris. If you are outdoors, do the same.
_ Take cover now. Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building.
_ Avoid windows.
