The tornado warning for central Marshall County expired at 5:30 p.m.
Earlier, the National Weather Service said that, at 4:53 p.m, Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado that was located 3 miles west of Hold, or 14 miles north of Thief River Falls, moving east at 15 mph.
This had a different warning than the one issued earlier for Marshall and Roseau counties, which itself was an upgrade of a warning earlier in the afternoon for parts of Kittson and Marshall counties.
