A cold front will move into the Red River region from western North Dakota this afternoon and through the region tonight, and thunderstorms are expected along the front, the National Weather Service says.
There's a "slight risk" after 3 p.m. of severe thunderstorms, mainly south and east of a line from near Kelliher to Red Lake to Barnesville, Minn., to Cogswell, N.D., the weather service says. Storms in these areas will most likely produce some large hail and damaging winds, and move out of the area by early Friday morning.
