The temperature was 2 above zero shortly before 7 a.m., the National Weather Service office in Grand Forks reported.
Temperatures between 6:30 and 7:30 a.m. around the northern Red River Valley region ranged from 7 above in Hallock, Minn., to 13 below zero in Wakish, Minn.
