There's a chance of getting wet this Memorial Day, though it's unlikely any rain will approach the heavy rain totals from earlier this weekend.

Still, a new flood warning is issued for the Red River at Drayton, affecting Marshall, Walsh, Kittson and Pembina counties.

Recent rains are pushing the Red at Drayton to slightly above minor flood state this afternoon. That minor flooding could be prolonged by any rain during the next day or two, the weather service says.

A few thunderstorms are possible this Memorial Day afternoon along a weak wind shift line ahead of a cold front, the National Weather Service office in Grand Forks says.

"A few storms may contain small hail and wind gusts," the weather service said in a statement. "Temperatures today will be warmer than Sunday, with most areas topping the 70 degree mark. The threat for showers and thunderstorms will persist tonight into Tuesday, before drier air filters into the area on Wednesday."
