Kirkham, Lamoureux honored
UND junior goaltender Brittany Kirkham and Minnesota freshman forward Monique Lamoureux are players of the week in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.
Kirkham, who stopped 32 of 33 shots in UND's 2-1 win over St. Cloud State last Friday, is the defensive player of the week. Kirkham is 1-1 on the season with a 2.03 goals-against average and .922 save percentage.
Lamoureux, who scored two goals and added an assist in Minnesota's sweep of then-No. 1 Minnesota-Duluth, is the rookie of the week. Lamoureux is a Grand Forks native.
