Genna Louise Burrow, 31, of 39573 Village Drive, Waubun, has been sentenced in Becker County District Court on a felony theft charge.

According to court records, she borrowed a white 2004 Pontiac Grand Am from a man on Nov. 21 and failed to return it as promised.

Police found it four days later at a mobile home park in Frazee. The rear license plate had been removed and replaced with a different plate. She admitted that she had kept the car.

She appeared in Becker County District Court May 14 before District Judge Joe Evans, who sentenced her to 17 months in prison, stayed five years.

She was ordered to serve seven months in jail, with credit for 129 days served, and fined $1,000 plus $160 in court fees. She was placed on supervised probation for five years
