Deb Myrfield, the newly appointed mayor of Warren, Minn., said she has no specific plans.
"I'm just in the learning process," she said. "I have no agenda."
Myrfield, the City Council president, was appointed mayor Wednesday by a unanimous vote of council members. She replaces two-term mayor Bob Kliner, who resigned last week without explanation.
City charter states that an appointed mayor must be selected from council members. However, the president is not an automatic successor.
At a later date, the council will appoint someone to take Myrfield's spot on the council. Myrfield was in her second term on the council.
