Visitation, funeral for Thief River Falls accident victim at his high school

A visitation and funeral service will be held in the Thief River Falls Lincoln High School gymnasium Friday night and Saturday afternoon, respectively, for one of the school's students, a 17-year-old boy who died last Sunday in a highway accident.

A visitation and funeral service will be held in the Thief River Falls Lincoln High School gymnasium Friday night and Saturday afternoon, respectively, for one of the school's students, a 17-year-old boy who died last Sunday in a highway accident.

Michael Holmer, 17, died Sunday night after his pickup, traveling along U.S. Highway 59 south of Thief River Falls, hit an approach and rolled, ejecting him from the vehicle.

Visitation for Holmer is from 5 to 8 a.m. Friday at the auditorium, with a 7 p.m. prayer service. Visitation also will be held for an hour prior to Saturday's funeral service, which begins at 2 p.m. in the auditorium.
