Detectives were still looking for clues Monday in the armed robbery of a St. Hilaire, Minn., store Friday evening.

Blaize Zimmerman, of the Pennington County Sheriff's Office, said Monday afternoon detectives had not identified any suspects or persons of interest in the armed robbery, which was reported to the Sheriff's Office at about 9 p.m. Friday at the Kruse In convenience store in St. Hilaire.

The Sheriff's Office released video from the store's security cameras Monday, showing a masked person dressed in black and wielding a rifle enter the store.

The perpetrator, who detectives believe to be male, entered the Kruse In, forced the clerk down to the floor and took an unknown amount of money from the safe, according to a news release issued Saturday.

Zimmerman said Monday the store was still calculating how much money was stolen.

The perpetrator left in a gray van with a maroon rear hatch door, which was later found burned southwest of St. Hilaire.

The vehicle was destroyed, Zimmerman said, but investigators were able to recover the license plate number and the vehicle identification number.

The van had been stolen out of Marshall County, Zimmerman said.

The Sheriff's Office asked that anyone with information on the robbery or the perpetrator to call deputies at (218) 681-6161.
