A new class at MSUM's College For Kids program has been so successful, one instructor is making it his career.

The video game programming class started with a cap of 40 available spots.

Organizers quickly saw the draw for the class and added more sessions -- bringing the total to 108 students.

In the class, students learn basic programming skills.

Because of it's success instructor David Binkard is creating a business called PODS Game Design for kids ages 10 to 18.

The business will offers classes from beginner to expert in video game design.

“Creating video games has been a hobby of mine for quite a while so actually teaching kids how to do it that's something that sounded really fun,” Binkard said, “I thought to myself 'Man, I wish I could do this all year' and then I thought, 'why can't I do it all year?'"

The first session for the classes is on September 12.
