The Polk County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a vehicle fire at 6:20 p.m. on Tuesday just east of Fosston, Minn., on U.S. Highway 2.
The Fosston Fire Department extinguished the fire.
The driver, April East of Calumet, Minn., was driving alone when the 2001 Chevolet Impala apparently overheated and burst into flames. The vehicle, which caught fire approximately 1 1/2 miles east of Fosston in the westbound lane of Highway 2, was a total loss.
