The christening of the USS North Dakota submarine will be broadcast live Nov. 2 in the Grand Forks region.

The event will take place in Groton, Conn., at 10 a.m., Central time and be broadcast live by Dakota Community Access on Government Access cable channel 2 in the Grand Forks area. It can also be seen on the Internet at www.freetv.org . Recordings will be rebroadcast on television and available online.

The christening will be performed by ship sponsor Katie Fowler.
