The Air Force is holding a public hearing Nov. 18 on the potential for Grand Forks Air Force Base to get KC-46 tanker aircraft.

The Pentagon prefers McConnell Air Force Base, Kan., as the main operating base for the aircraft, but the Grand Forks base is an alternate.

The hearing will be 5 to 8 p.m. in the Hawk Meeting Room at the Alerus Center.
