UPDATE: Highway 32 back open after being closed Friday due to protest camp

UPDATE: As of 8 p.m., Highway 32 is open again between St. Hilaire and Thief River Falls.

An 8-mile portion of Highway 32 between St. Hilaire and Thief River Falls was opened just before 8 p.m. Friday. The road had been closed, as law enforcement officials had said earlier Friday that conditions there were unsafe for gathered oil pipeline protesters, and vehicles driving along the road.
