UPDATE: Aronson resigning as N.D. Democratic party director

Joe Aronson will soon leave his role as executive director of the North Dakota Democratic-NPL Party to become executive director of the Delaware Democratic Party, Dem-NPL officials announced today.

Joe Aronson will soon leave his role as executive director of the North Dakota Democratic-NPL Party to become executive director of the Delaware Democratic Party, Dem-NPL officials announced today.

Aronson will remain involved with the Dem-NPL through their reorganization process until the May 21 policy committee meeting in Fargo. The party plans to launch a nationwide search for his replacement during the reorganization process.

In a written statement, Chairman Mark Schneider said the party's loss is "Delaware's gain" as Aronson prepares for his new job.

"Joe came on as executive director at a very difficult time for the party, he worked very hard to right the ship and has put us on a course for victory in 2012," he wrote.

Aronson said the future is "bright" for North Dakota Democrats. "I've enjoyed my time in North Dakota and I want to thank our Chairman Mark Schneider and all of the Dem-NPL faithful for allowing me the opportunity to work for this great party," he wrote.
