Warren, Minn. - It was a special weekend for Shayla Miller.
The 18-year-old from Warren, Minnesota was born with Cerebral Palsy and other disorders. Doctors thought she would never walk or talk, but she has defied the odds.
Shayla, a senior in high school, had never been to a school dance. That's when UND goalie Zane McIntyre stepped up to the plate. He knew Shayla is his biggest fan so the Thief River Falls native surprised the teen, and asked her to the prom .
The night included hundreds of pictures, a ride in a convertible, dinner, a special escort through town and of course some dancing.
