UND's Center for Community Engagement is seeking nominations for faculty and students who have been especially engaged in the community.
The categories are:
- Public Scholar Award: This goes to a faculty member who has involved community members in collecting information and who has shared the results with the public.
- Faculty Service-Learning Award: This goes to a faculty member who has helped students improve the community through his or her class.
- Engaged Department Award: This is for an academic department or program that gets faculty and students involved in learning in a community context and addresses community needs.

- Undergraduate Civic Engagement Award: A junior or senior could win this for providing academic-based service to the community and possessing strong leadership potential.
- Graduate Civic Engagement Award: A grad student could win this for serving the community through research, service-learning and leadership.
The nominations must be in by 4 p.m. Oct. 1. The Civic Engagement Awards will be held Nov. 10 at the Stone Soup Luncheon and Awards Program at the Memorial Union.
