U.S. Customs and Border Protection is recruiting men and women in North Dakota to become border guards, the agency said Thursday.

The CBP officer is a full-time, uniformed position that requires regular qualification and carrying of a firearm and includes paid training at the CBP Field Operations Academy in Brunswick, Ga., according to a news release.

Applicants must be a U.S. citizen and resident for the last three years and be younger than 37, plus other qualifications.
