A Newfolden, Minn., man is dead and an Argyle, Minn., woman is in the hospital after a two-vehicle collision Monday night near Newfolden, the Marshall County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.

The collision occurred just before 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of 320th Street Northwest and 170th Avenue Northwest.

Jerry Jenkins, 58, was transported to North Valley Medical Center in Warren, Minn., where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy will be performed by the Marshall County Coroner.

Marxhall County Sheriff John Novacek said Jenkins vehicle, a 1999 GMC Yukon, was reportedly T-boned by a 1992 Mercury Grand Marquis driven by Laura McEndree, 24. She was taken to Merit Care in Thief River Falls and later transported to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, where she was listed in satisfactory condition Tuesday afternoon. Two children, ages 1 and 6, riding in the car, did not sustain any injuries, Sheriff Novacek said.

"The incident is under investigation, but it appears the vehicle driven by McEndree failed to yield," Novacek said in a phone interview.
