Two men were arrested Wednesday for allegedly selling methamphetamine in Grand Forks, reports show.
Officers from the narcotics task force received tips that 32-year-old Martin Vargas Jr. of Phoenix was involved in selling methamphetamine from his hotel room at the Ramada Inn on North 43rd Street, an affidavit for his arrest said.
Officers searched the room with a warrant and found 1.5 ounces of methamphetamine, five grams of marijuana, more than $1,300 cash, a scale and several cell phones, records show.
Vargas could face felony charges for allegedly possessing and intending to sell methamphetamine and misdemeanor charges related to marijuana. If convicted, he could face up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
Police reports show 31-year-old Richard Joseph Adams of Grand Forks was also arrested Wednesday and will face similar charges.

Adams allegedly sold 7 grams of methamphetamine to an undercover narcotics agent Monday, according to an affidavit for his arrest.
On Wednesday, officers searched his apartment on the 800 block of 36th Ave. S. with Adams' consent. Reports show they found 4 grams of methamphetamine, cash, paraphernalia, a scale and bags.
Adams could face two felony charges related to selling methamphetamine. If convicted, he could face up to 10 years in prison and $10,000 fines for each charge.
Both men will appear in court for an initial appearance Friday afternoon.
