WADENA, Minn. -- Two adults died in a fire early Friday in Wadena Township.
The blaze, a few miles south of Wadena between the city and the Todd County line, was reported to authorities shortly before 4 a.m., said Wadena County Sheriff Michael Carr.
When emergency personnel arrived, they found a camper trailer “fully engulfed in fire,” according to a sheriff’s office news release.
In an interview Friday afternoon, Carr said the sheriff’s office will not name the victims until autopsies confirm their identities.

“We don’t want to assume anything,” he said.
In an earlier email to the media, Carr wrote: “... it is important for tragic cases like this to give the family time to notify other family members and grieve in these incidents before notifying the general public.”
The Wadena Pioneer Journal confirmed the identity of one victim, a man in his early 20s. The identity of the other victim was unknown.
The remains of the camper trailer were towed from the scene, Carr said.
An investigation into the fire is ongoing with assistance from the Minnesota state fire marshal, the Wadena Fire Department and Lake Region Health Care.
