A crash at a Grand Forks intersection Thursday morning left two drivers with minor injuries.

Witnesses told police a 2010 Subaru Forester driven by Stuart Larson, 78, ran a red light at 28th Avenue South and South Washington Street and broadsided a 2002 Toyota Camry driven by Miranda Rowen, 26.

Larson, of Grand Forks, was going south on Washington, and Rowen, of East Grand Forks, was heading east on 28th.

Police said the collision trapped Rowen in her vehicle, and firefighters used the "jaws of life" to extricate her.

Both drivers were taken to Altru Hospital with injuries that were not considered life threatening, police said.
