BEMIDJI
Police were called to the scene of a single-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle at 9:28 p.m. Friday on Hannah Avenue Northwest.
The driver, William Beaulieu, 41, address not listed, said he swerved to miss a deer, lost control and dumped the motorcycle in the ditch.
He was treated at North Country Regional Hospital for a broken collarbone and bruises and released.
A passenger, Robyn Staples, 32, also was treated for injuries at the hospital and released.

Neither was wearing a helmet.
