MADISON, Minn. -- Two people were found dead Wednesday morning at a rural residence near Madison in western Minnesota.
The Lac qui Parle County Sheriff's Office said it found the two dead adults during a welfare check at the residence about 8 a.m Wednesday. The bodies were transported to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Officer for further investigation, a news release from the Lac qui Parle County Sheriff's Office said.
Law enforcement does not believe the situation poses a risk to the general public, and the incident is believed to be isolated.
The Lac qui Parle County Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are investigating. The names of the victims have not been released pending investigation and notification of relatives.
