One person was airlifted to Sanford Hospital in Fargo after suffering injuries Monday in a two-vehicle collision on U.S. Highway 2 in Fosston, Minn.
The injured juvenile female, whose identify was not released by the Polk County Sheriff's Office, was a passenger in a car driven by Holly Joann Thorson, also of Fosston. Thorson also suffered minor injuries after her eastbound car struck a pickup driven by St. Louis Park, Minn., resident Michael Kenneth Ripley. Ripley had no apparent injuries, according to a Sheriff's Office news release.
The accident is under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol. The Fosston Fire Department and Essentia Fosston Ambulance assisted with the accident.
