Travel alert issued for north-central, eastern portions of North Dakota

The North Dakota Department of Transportation has issued a travel alert for the north-central and eastern portions of North Dakota through this morning due to freezing rain.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation has issued a travel alert for the north-central and eastern portions of North Dakota through this morning due to freezing rain.

The travel alert affects areas north and east of Fargo, Grand Forks, Valley City, Jamestown, Devils Lake, Bismarck and Minot.

Motorists can still travel, but NDDOT is urging them to be aware of the potential for icy roads as temperatures fall overnight.
