A minor train derailment disrupted traffic near Euclid, Minn., five miles north of Crookston Tuesday.
Two cars of a BNSF Railway train derailed but remained upright, according to BSNF spokeswoman Amy McBeth. One of the cars was carrying fiber board and the other was empty but is used to transport corn syrup or vegetable oil, she added.
McBeth described the incident as “very minor” and said it would be taken care of quickly once equipment to put the cars back on the track arrived.
The accident did not trigger an emergency response by authorities, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
