West Fargo - A cause of a West Fargo train derailment is not known yet.
Around 4:30 Wednesday morning, police say they received a notification from BNSF that two locomotives and five railcars full of rock derailed at the Strata Corporation's railyard at 12th Avenue and Center Street Northeast. BNSF says the cars are upright and no injuries have been reported and no hazardous materials have been released. Traffic has not been affected by the derailment.
West Fargo police say when they responded, no rail officials were there to brief them on the derailment.
