A fire destroyed a trailer home in Emerado, N.D., on Thursday night, killing two cats, but nobody was injured.

Emerado Police Chief Tim Gillespie said the call came in it at 8:58 p.m. and the Emerado firefighters "were knocking it down," still at about 9:55 p.m. It happened in the trailer court just north of the city, south of Base View Dairy Queen, just off U.S. Highway 2 about 13 miles west of Grand Forks.

The family of two or three people was not home when the fire was reported, Gillespie said.

He's calling in a state fire marshal to investigate the fire.
