The search for the next dean of the UND law school is on, with the assistance of North Dakota's top judge.
North Dakota Supreme Court Chief Justice Gerald VandeWalle and UND law professor James Grijalva will serve as co-chairs of the search committee to fill the dean's position at UND's School of Law.
The dean position most recently was held by Kathryn Rand, who stepped down to return to teaching full-time. Bradley Myers, a professor at UND, recently was named interim dean to serve until a permanent successor is chosen.
VandeWalle, who has served on the North Dakota Supreme Court since 1978 and graduated from UND, is the longest-serving incumbent chief justice in the United States.
