A tire technician at a Grand Forks tire shop was injured early Monday when he was run over by a trailer he was working on, police say.

The Grand Forks Police Department, Grand Forks Fire Department and an Altru Health Systems ambulance were called to Big Jim's Tire Service on Gateway Drive just after 7 a.m. in response to an accident.

Employees were working on a trailer tire when the trailer was moved and a technician was struck and run over by the trailer. He was transported to Altru Hospital, according to press release.

The incident is under investigation by Grand Forks police.
