At least 100 trees will take root Saturday in Grand Forks on the Greenway corridor.
The public is invited to the Community Tree Planting Event hosted at 9 a.m. by the city of Grand Forks, Xcel Energy and Grand Forks Park District.
Volunteers can meet at the Seventh Avenue trail access. Parking is available in the parking lot at Seventh Avenue North and along North Third Street.
Special guest appearance will be by Nutsy the Squirrel.
